Aon are currently recruiting a Broking / Proposition Manager to join our team to work virtually. The Broking / Proposition Manager will be primarily responsible for implementation and Management of Business Proposition requirements and Complex Broking solutions ensuring compliance with the UK’s Corporate’s Broking strategy.

About the Role

Your impact as a Broking / Proposition Manager:

• Implementation and Management of Business Propositions requirements and Complex Broking Solutions
• Decides in conjunction with the Management Team, Proposition requirements specific to the Business
• Sources Complex Broking Solutions with insurers based on risks referred by the Client Service Teams and Appointed Representatives
• Guides placement of business in accordance with the Retail Broking strategy and broking procedures.
• Negotiates the most appropriate solutions that meet the needs of the Partners client base.
• Provides a professional opinion on the most appropriate options offered by insurers and proactively intervenes where appropriate to provide better solutions.
• Contributes to insurance programme design, suggesting alternative solutions to complex client owners where appropriate.
• Takes ownership of insurer related issues referred by client service teams and advises on and resolves day to day queries.
• Forms and maintains effective relationships with Client Service Teams and appointed representatives
• Provides insurance market information
• Compliance with regulatory requirements and business procedures
• Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

About you

Your knowledge and expertise:

• Professional Qualifications: ACII preferable;
• Technical experience, particularly around policy cover and policy wording.
• High level of technical knowledge in all major and pecuniary classes
• A thorough knowledge of the commercial insurance market and dynamics – able to analyse competitors to spot new opportunities
• Strong negotiating and influencing skills;
• Analytical approach to problem solving
• Interpersonal skills as well a clear and consistent communicator
