Your new company A successful and continually expanding Main contractor focused on the Residential sector. With projects spread across greater London ranging from 50 – 300 unit schemes the need has now arisen for a quality manager to oversee the build process across the portfolio of new sites ensuring build quality and adherence to building regulations. With several ambitious projects starting in the near future the aim of the role is to enhance overall quality, streamline processes and in turn reduce the defects at the end of the schemes.
Your new role As Quality manager you will report to the Construction director and work between the office and visiting sites, You will help create Quality management systems and an overall Quality policy and be responsible for inspecting sites at regular stages of the build to support the site management team in adhering to the standards required. You be heavily involved in the final stages/handover of all units and be a point of contact for all Technical queries. You will review and report on a monthly basis highlighting any concerns over construction details and workmanship and suggest processes to help rectify moving forward.
What you’ll need to succeed You Will have a Strong construction background with extensive experience of the build process of residential schemes – both apartments and houses, you will understand all construction phases from groundwork’s through to handover and have a good knowledge of relevant governing body standards. Various backgrounds will be considered from clerk of works, technical manager, Site manager, building inspector etc.
