HOURLY PAY RANGE:$26.75 – $40.51
This position accepts the responsibility and accountability for the delivery of patient care with the multidisciplinary team while using the nursing process and maintaining professional nursing standards.
Associate Degree in Nursing or graduate from an accredited RN program required.
Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa required.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
Previous experience in acute care preferred, one year required.
Special Skills and Competencies:
Preferred professional certification in related to clinical specialty- CEN/CCRN (from the Magnet approved certifications)
Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and flexibility to meet department needs.
Self-motivated, detail oriented individual able to work with minimum supervision.
Completes the following mandatory courses (check all that apply):
Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current status.
Must provide proof of Mandatory Reporting for Child and Dependent Adult Abuse training prior to employment or within 6 months of hire and maintain current status per State of Iowa guidelines
Completes Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association within 6 months of hire and maintains current status. (Does not apply to MFHL resource nurse functioning as a triage nurse only).
Completes Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) – American Heart Association within 12 months of hire and maintains current status. (Does not apply to MFHL resource nurse functioning as a triage nurse only).
Completes Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 12 months of hire and maintains current status. (Does not apply to MFHL resource nurse functioning as a triage nurse only).
