Located in Westminster, Central London, this secondary school isn’t for the faint hearted of teachers. In recent times the school has undergone some major improvements, including a new leadership team, however the school still has a long way to go before it can reach its full potential.
The school is located in the heart of our bustling capital with some great transport links to the rest of the city and further afield. In this Science teacher role, the successful candidate will love being part of an enthusiastic and talented team of teachers, working with inquisitive pupils who have recently received some of the school’s best exam results. Based on their past years results, and the fact that the Leadership team now have in place a clear vision of improvement, they are keen to appoint some outstanding Science Teachers.
The Science department at this school has been well invested in and as a teacher within the department you can make use of some really great facilities including well-maintained laboratories (with full-time lab technicians on hand) and ICT facilities and data projectors.
At KS3 the Science team has developed a highly praised Science curriculum that engages students using relevant contexts, practical work and project days.
At KS4 the school offers a full range of courses including GCSE Triple and Double Science and BTEC Science.
The ideal teacher will be an outstanding Science teacher (or with the potential to be outstanding), who is eager to try new ideas in a supportive environment. You will be keen to improve literacy in Science supported by the whole school INSET programme. You will understand the importance of improving KS2-4 progress and be able to implement a number of initiatives to improve it.
