The Minnesota Hospital Association’s (MHA) mission is to advance the health of individuals and communities through leadership, advocacy, and collaboration on behalf of Minnesota hospitals and health systems. This position develops and coordinates education programs targeted for MHA members and related audiences, advancing the MHA mission and vision. The Senior Director is responsible for organizing, directing, and managing all aspects of developing small and large in-person and virtual conferences and meetings. This position ensures members are provided with broad-based educational programs to keep them current on emerging issues, federal and state regulations, professional development, and other relevant topics for health care audiences.
This position is responsible for short and long-range planning, directing, and managing of educational services. This requires frequent coordination with other divisions and staff at MHA to source content, identify internal and external speakers, promote, and market programs, and successfully execute the program delivery. This position develops and implements operational plans, including budget, and ensures the financial success of the education division.
The senior director will work closely with the VP, finance policy and analytics, to expand the MHA’s strategic partnerships, including ensuring continued growth and success of the association’s Endorsed Business Partner program. Expanding strategic partnerships includes recruitment, retention and customer relationship management of associate memberships, vendor relationships and partnering with other related organizations. The senior director is efficient, proactive, growth-minded, and change-ready; with a high-energy focus on advancing the MHA’s mission and vision on behalf of its members.
