Salary range: £35,724 – £38,799 p.a. inc.
Hours of work: 36 hours per week

Exciting Opportunity for two Senior Grant Offices

Each post holder will lead on a Brent Council grant programmes, including the Neighbourhood Infrastructure Levy (NCIL) Fund for the Council and will commission, co-ordinate and monitor contracts under the partnerships brief.
The NCIL Fund provides grants for community projects that support the regeneration of the borough. At least 15 per cent of all the money we collect from new, eligible, developments in the borough will be spent on priorities that are agreed in consultation with the local community.
Other grants streams include our Voluntary Sector Infrastructure Fund (VSIF) which provides funding for the voluntary and community sector in Brent and The Edward Harvist Trust Fund (EHTF). The grant is to fund one-off expenditure or that of a non-recurrent nature such as furniture, equipment, outings and cost relating to one-off events.
The successful applicants will implement value for money options for future local services, will report on grants activity and ensure that robust systems are in place for monitoring and reviewing all programmes of work..
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive knowledge of current issues affecting local government and an understanding of grant making, commissioning, governance and community engagement. You will also have experience of developing multi-agency partnerships, working in a politically sensitive environment and financial management.

With a ‘can-do’ attitude, you will be able to take the initiative and be creative in problem solving and project delivery.
You will have a willingness to work evenings and weekends as required..
