We are looking for a enthusiastic and motivated Senior Homelessness Lawyer to join us in Brent’s impressive Civic Centre, located right next to Wembley stadium and just a 12 minute train ride from Baker Street and a 25 minute train ride from Kings Cross.So if you are a skilled professional looking for challenging and rewarding work in a demanding but supportive environment – this is the opportunity you have been waiting for.
The Civil Litigation and Housing Team are looking for an experienced Senior Lawyer specialising in homelessness to provide high level and proactive expert legal advice and conduct high quality advocacy for the Council. The person will have their own case load of work and will work under the supervision of the Principal Lawyer.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Lawyer with strong organisational skills used to working in a busy office. The person should have extensive experience of homelessness law and higher rights of audience as well as a sound knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.
The person should have experience of providing complex legal advice around homelessness to senior client officers. The person will need to prepare and defend homeless challenges including responding to Judicial Review challenges, defending claims, appeals and applications, and attending court as an advocate in the County Court, High Court and higher courts under the supervision of the Principal Lawyer.
