Fidelity Business Consulting (FBC)
It is mission of the Fidelity Business Consulting (FBC) team to:
“Provide professional in-house strategic consulting & corporate development support to accelerate growth & development of Fidelity International.”
This high-profile, capable and experienced team, acts as a strategy and business consulting partner to all parts of the Fidelity International business, supporting senior leaders in the research, development, appraisal and execution of strategies for their businesses. The team also guides any corporate development, merger and acquisition and strategic partnership activity across the business. In addition, the FBC team are often called upon to execute ‘special projects’ that may sit outside of the normal scope of Fidelity International’s business.
Projects that the FBC support are sponsored by a member of the firm’s Global Operating Committee (executive committee) and at times require interaction with the main corporate Board.
The team is well regarded and highly visible within the firm, with daily interaction with the most senior leaders at Fidelity International. With a scope that is business-wide and global, the team has a unique vantage point from which to lead strategic analyses and projects across the full breadth and reach of the firm.

Strategy & Business Consulting
The FBC team will comprise a team of 9 professionals split between London (6) and Hong Kong (3). The team is part of the Group Finance organisation, reporting to the Group CFO. Under the accountability of a senior director all members of the team have clear reporting lines, areas of domain expertise and defined accountabilities.
However, it is a key principle that the team works flexibly and adapts in line with business priorities, leveraging the benefits of globalised resourcing with business/regional-specific knowledge. Similar to an external consulting model, the team will deploy its resources as, where and when needed, in line with requirements. Looking forward, it also seeks to create a future talent pool for the organisation, of capable and experienced individuals, with a business-wide outlook. Whilst the Hong Kong based team are typically focused on projects within the Asia Pacific region, they are at time also called on to support global projects and those based in other regions.
Purpose of Role
The Senior Manager is an experienced member of the Fidelity Business Consulting Team and is expected to independently lead/deliver straightforward strategic projects and take accountability for delivering specific workstreams on larger projects. In line with business needs, the individual will also be required to support elements of M&A activity, such as due diligence and financial modelling. The individual will also support the success and development of the broader team.
This is a very broad role and the Senior Manager should expect to be involved in and/or leading multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously, working in a matrix team environment with both Business Consulting team members and with individuals from across the organisation.
The individual will need to well organised, motivated, self-starter and will be adept at balancing (sometimes conflicting) priorities and managing senior stakeholders professionally. The individual should expect to participate in some of the most important and visible initiatives underway within the business. This is a very high-profile role and the individual should expect to have extensive interaction with the most senior leaders of the business, including members of the Fidelity International’s Global Operating Committee.
The role will be based in London, but with some travel within Europe region, in line with business needs and priorities.
