Your new role The successful candidate will report to the Head of Capital and act as an effective business partner and finance lead for the provision of high quality and timely scheme financial information.
Manage delivery of accounting, statutory, financial and budgetary reporting for all development schemes.
Provide accurate and timely information for development costs used for profit calculations, budgets and forecasts.
Prepare and manage the preparation of all related statutory notes.
Ensure that the development software system and finance systems are adequately interfaced and reconciled.
Develop , implement and monitor control systems, policies and procedures to ensure that the scheme accounting records are robust and secure.
Manage the resources of the project accounting team, ensuring that staff are recruited, developed and motivated to provide a quality service across the group.
What you’ll need to succeed
Full Qualified Accountant – ACA/ACCA/CIMA
Recent experience of balance sheet and profit and loss account reconciliation
Desirable – Experience of development accounting in a medium to large housing association.
Desirable – Experience of managing a small team.
Desirable – Experience of managing budget holders/business partnering.
