Our Client Our client is a fast growing, PE backed, highly decorated diagnostics business that is truly ground-breaking in its field. It’s B2C arm encourages lifestyle and health improvement, where its diagnostic B2B division has been instrumental in the fight against Covid-19. They are geared for exponential growth and as such are looking for an experienced and multi-skilled Project Manager to play a key role in the running of the business.
The Role Based in London, my client is looking for an experienced and proactive Project Manager to join them as they go through a period of significant growth. You will be responsible for the successful planning, executing, monitoring, control, and closing of key strategic projects in line with the Group’s long term business plan.
The first project is the implementation of an ERP system, which is now required as the business scales. You will have extensive knowledge of finance & operational systems and their reporting requirements, as well as a good understanding of the operations in a product-based company. Process understanding and collaborative cross-function working is key to success. This initial focus will involve identification of the “right” system for the business through internal consultation with stakeholders, followed by managing external implementation consultants and working across the internal teams to develop processes and ensure best practice implementation.
Beyond the ERP implementation, the role will take the lead on projects associated with the Company’s expansion across its global customer base and rapidly-growing product range. In order to thrive in this role you will have a fantastic strategic and operational skill set.
The Candidate The successful Strategic Project Manager will have compelling process understanding, either from a financial background, or an operational background with a sound understanding of financial reporting. In addition, it is essential to have broad ERP systems experience and: – a track record of identifying and implementing business-wide process improvements – significant experience of leading cross-functional projects of business transformation. This will be of most value across manufacturing, supply chain or product departments. – will have successfully managed external partners, including ownership of project timetables and budgets. – be an effective communicator, adapting technical language and requirements as appropriate by stakeholder. – take a proactive approach, able to manage your own time, prioritise resources and to be able to work independently. – have the ability to build respectful relationships with all levels of the team. – have the ability to lead with confidence and authority whilst maintaining a collaborative working atmosphere.
