OVERVIEW OF THE JOB
The Student Residence Assistant is a supervising presence in Piccadilly Court, a student residence that is committed to ensuring a safe, secure and comfortable home for our international students while living and studying in London. Working hours are an average of 40 hours per week, but may be higher at times of student arrivals/departures.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB
Reporting into the Residence Community Manager the role of Student Residence Assistant provides the first point of contact for all students residing in the building during their studies with CATS. The core function of this role is to provide a welcoming, safe and pleasant living environment for all its occupants, along with exercising a level of control within the building to ensure the building is safe, clean, well-maintained and respected by those living and working there.
The Assistant is based primarily at the Front Desk but is required to conduct building walks and room checks during the course of their shift to ensure the security, safety and state of repair of the premises.
The role aims to maintain a level of responsibility to ensure occupants adhere to building policies and any rules which are put in place. This includes any breaches or issues to be reported to the students relevant centre head who will deal with any disciplinary measures necessary.
