Our client is one of the country’s leading financial technology (FinTech) companies.

Based in London, they build trading software and cutting-edge data platforms for hedge funds, quant trading firms and investment banks around the world.

As they grow, they’re looking to hire a bright and technical Application Support Engineer.

This is the perfect position for someone with ~1 – 3 years’ experience of application/technical support, a good knowledge of Java with SQL and Linux and (ideally!) any kind of exposure to DevOps with AWS.

You’ll be a key part of their Engineering and Infrastructure team, own the investigation and resolution of technical issues and drive the automation of monitoring systems.

You’ll be involved in development too. You’ll have the chance to build tools and code solutions as you see fit and take a central role in not only “day to day” technical work but also the evolution of the area – creating best practices, improving infrastructure and enhancing documentation.

Requirements:

– Experience in a similar technical Production/Application Support position
– Experience of Java based applications and coding/programming
– Good knowledge of UNIX/Linux and SQL
– Experience of DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernets etc) with AWS is ideal
– Proactive, agile and energetic approach to work
– Experience of working in the financial services would be ideal
– Logical and problem-solving mindset
