Lunatus Recruitment are currently supporting a construction organisation in their search for several Tarmac Lorry Drivers, based in East London, the individuals will be required to undertake their duties in and around London.
To undertake driving & basic labouring responsibilities and provide assistance to operatives as instructed and at all times carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the post in compliance with Health and Safety Policy and procedures.
Principle Duties and Accountabilities:
• Must have previous experience and be competent in most construction activities • Must be able to read, write and speak English • Should be reasonably fit to undertake any duties that he/she is expected to undertake
Roles and Responsibilities:
• To ensure the safety of themselves and others is number one priority. • To ensure security, cleanliness and good care of company equipment, vehicles and plant. • Must adhere to the safe system of work for the activity undertaken • General housekeeping and ensure all sites are left safe & clean (i.e. sweep up, barrow tarmac etc.) • To help in all day to day tarmac duties & be an equal active member of tarmac gang. • Attend any training, inductions, toolbox talks and other briefings. • Ensure “Site Specific Risk Assessments” are completed for all works • Comply with any instructions given by Supervisors and/or Management • Wear the required PPE and ensure that it is fit for purpose • Ensure that if involved in a personnel or traffic accident it is reported A.S.A.P to the line relevant line manager • Be responsible for the quality of their own work • Look after any equipment provided by the Company for use at work • Maintain good time keeping and conduct yourself professionally at all times • To adhere to existing policies, working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and to respond positively to new and alternative systems. • To maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate. • To understand and comply with the companies environmental policies and procedures • Ensure you familiarize yourself with the emergency arrangements for the site along with the emergency environmental arrangements. • Report all Near Misses to either your line manager, SHEQ advisor or head office • Complete daily defect reports. • Report any defect tools or plant to ganger man A.S.A.P • To be present on site until 14:00pm. • To promote the values of the company by acting as a frontline ambassador at all times.

Qualifications / Competency:
• CSCS, and or EUSR Card for appropriate level of responsibility / competency • CPCS / NPORS card if operating plant
