This is an excellent opportunity to join the financial accounting team at Alliance Healthcare as the Trainee Accountant reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager. The main purpose of this role is to complete month-end journals and perform balance sheet reconciliations. This role is pivotal to the accuracy of the accounts in addition to the monthly financial review process. There are several key responsibilities of the role:
– Accurate and timely completion of monthly activities including month end journals and balance sheet review
– Preparation of statutory accounts and assisting audit process
– Ensuring a strong control environment, with administration of Delegation of Authority and Bank Mandate changes
– Commitment to completing their ACCA/ACA qualification

About the Candidate
We would value the following attributes:
Accounting graduate and/or studying for a professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast paced environment
Advanced excel – a significant portion of the responsibilities of this role involve using excel
Clear and concise communication skills
Previous experience in a finance department is desirable
