About the Corporate Services Directorate
The Corporate Services directorate is at the centre of the DIO. It brings together DIO governance, parliamentary business, transformation and change, and communications expertise to ensure that the organisation delivers for Defence, the Government, and the General Public.
At the same time supporting our delivery colleagues by ensuring that the organisation is correctly configured to allow them to focus on what needs to be done to support our customers. It is home of both the DIO Policy, Strategy and Parliamentary, and Corporate Support (Secretarial) professions.

The Transformation and Change team support the Defence Infrastructure Organisation lead and manage internal change, driving efficiency for our customers, our suppliers and our people.

DIO Data, Analytics & Insight are based in four main regions around the UK; East of England, South East of England, Yorkshire & Humber and West Midlands. We will look to locate you in one of these regions where possible. Where this is not possible, we will look to assign an alternative MOD establishment as your duty station.
As a Senior Business Analyst in the Business Design Team, you will support the Business Architects in providing an integrated view of the organisation using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques, building a bridge between the strategic plan of a business and the actual day-to-day function of the business. The Senior Business Analyst supports the creation of architectural artefacts by playing a key role in facilitating workshops with the business and in the development of standardised artefacts representing the baseline, interim and target structure of the organisation in terms of product and service, customer definition, value stream, capability, governance, business process, organisational structure etc.
The Senior Business Analyst must therefore have an understanding of the business, how it operates, knowledge of architecture frameworks (such as TOGAF), the relationships between artefacts and specifically, architecture and process mapping notations. They will manage artefacts in the architecture repository, understand the business architecture design process and play a key role in the performance of that process through supporting the Business Architects.
The Senior Business Analyst will support change management activities including the development of problem statements, root cause analysis, impact assessments and requirements development. They will work closely with their counterparts within technology and data architecture to ensure alignment in approaches and outputs and provide guidance to the Business Analysts in the wider team in the application of appropriate tools and techniques.
