The successful applicant will be a motivated Year 5 Teacher who has a history of working closely with pupils with EAL requirements and those with Special Educational Needs and a ‘Good’ or better record from observations in the classroom. The school wants to recruit someone who has a good grasp of how to work in a team and individually and a natural approach to inspiring young learners. The ideal individual should be able to follow an every child matters ethos that helps every child both learn from and enjoy their lessons. Your portfolio will include a desire to impart your own passion for learning on others and a penchant for thinking outside the box.
As a Year 5 Teacher your role will involve you teaching a Year 5 class of 30 pupils described as enthusiastic and you will be pushing yourself to develop new skills through continued professional development plans. Your responsibilities will include reporting directly to an exceptional KS2 Coordinator who truly leads from the front, whilst putting into practice the Inclusive Teaching policies of the core school ethos. In general, you will be utilising the school’s exceptional Teaching Assistants in your lessons, giving you the chance to concentrate on delivering the best possible lessons to your pupils. Working in such a caring environment the SLT follow a supportive policy where new teachers work closely with a Parallel teacher to help them adapt to the new school. As a Year 5 Teacher you will be innovating and modernising lessons with the use of the school’s advanced equipment and resources, including their excellent ICT suite, the bright, airy classrooms with interactive whiteboards and the well-resourced library.
